Bay Partners has announced the launch of AppFactory today - A fast-track program supporting entrepreneurs dedicated to developing applications for the Facebook Platform. You can read about all the details here. In a nutshell, they are awarding $25,000 - $250,000 investments “to help entrepreneurs identify, build, and monetize the next generation of applications.”

This is a fast-track program and as per the FAQ on their site, applicants will hear back an indication of interest within 2 weeks. 2 weeks!! That’s it. This will probably attract every college-going developer who hadn’t made any plans for the summer. At 250+ applications per week, there are a lot more Facebook headlines coming soon to a blog near you.
